The FireWear is a preferred choice by some of our customers as an alternative clothing choice for flame resistant protection. The fabric construction is such that before the FFR® fabric is exposed to a flame source the garment has the look and feel of a regular day to day use outfit. This benefit allows for you the wearer of the Firefighter uniforms the soft feel of cotton along with very good color retention due to the way the fibers are constructed.

The FireWear line of american fire wear products made by Topps Safety Apparel are designed to have the look and feel of everyday apparel. The FFR qualities work by emitting a non-combustible gas, released through tiny pores in the fiber which smother the fire much the same way that a fire extinguisher does. These gasses shut off the oxygen feeding the flames, thereby stopping further burning. One characteristic that is advantages with the FireWear clothing is that the FFR is blended with untreated cotton which allows for the comfort of cotton, excellent dying properties that result in brighter colors and color retention.
