The following product line of the electric
arc face shield from WH Salisbury named the Pro-Shield is available in the combinations shown. Accessories can
be added to the Pro-Shield such as the chin cup, dielectric bracket, hard hat
and ratcheted head gear.
WH Salisbury provides the option of attaching the Pro-Shield
to either the SA29R03 hard hat or the ASRHG4 ratcheted head gear. The ratcheted
head gear provides good ventilation when a hard hat is not required for electric
arc exposure. The face
shields are .06" thick with a light green tint and anti-fog properties.
Electric arc flash Pro-Shield's are designed for low level
exposure up to 10 cal/cm² which is HRC 2. This Salisbury line of face shields
is applicable when a full hood is not required enabling for better personal
comfort in a lighter weight product.
Electricians, linesmen and any personal that are working on
or may be exposed to an electric arc blast must where the appropriate PPE in the
form of
arc flash clothing.
Note: Always perform a risk hazard assessment when working on or near electrical equipment to determine the arc flash protection required. It may be that the Pro-Shield 10 cal is not enough protection and a full Pro-Hood is needed. WH Salisbury manufactures the Pro-Hood for protection from electrical arc flash up to and including 100 cal/cm².
